One of the curses of the internet I'm afraid, people think they have the inside track on info, then post it on forums as fact, and it becomes accepted as such.

I'm fairly sure that the people responsible for the disposal of the Tristar fleet know the when, where, and how, and as far as I know they haven't posted any definite info to the net, so as with all of these rumours I would take them with a very large pinch of salt.

I'm there at the end of the week so will have to look out for it.

Provisional time at Bruntingthorpe is 1100 (Wednesday), clearly subject to confirmation.

Sincere apologies for being a little quiet of late - unfortunately some scum unsuccesfully tried to kill me in a hit and run.
Now its down to me to pick up the pieces - and a lot of the costs.

From GJD Facebook page;
ZE705 is now due in to Buntingthorpe at 11:00 on the 12th, along with two additional Tristars we have now agreed to purchase, should be quite an airshow!

Does that mean that the airfield will be open? I'm travelling down to London on Wednesday. :mrgreen:

Quuestions are being asked on facebook at present about public access and whether all three are due in together. The latest post from GJD is this:

I like the sound of "possible circuits" :D

Is there any word yet as to whether the airfield will be admitting spectators?

Unfortunately nothing has been posted on either the GJD or Bruntingthorpe page, LOTS of people have been asking but no response, short notice now for a lot of people. Weather for Brunty tomorrow is fog in the morning.

Am assuming it's a 'No' so am going to try to get to Brize.

Posted on Fighter Control and UKAR taken from (I understand) GJD's FB "BZN Departure timings for tomorrow's Tristars....0900, 1100, 1600. all subject to weather."
